A private index, for the people who need one.
You shouldn't have to re-introduce yourself to your AI every morning. DEX gives you stabilized memory at the user level: a written, user-owned, scoped, and versioned record of your projects, decisions, research, and preferences in your own Drive.
The record is stable because it belongs to you, not because a particular model remembers it.
Subscription-based. Keys are personal — Danny sends yours himself.
Works with Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and any MCP-compatible model you explicitly connect.
The category
Memory should belong to the user.
Most AI memory belongs to a model or the application around it. DEX keeps the durable record at the user level, so any AI you explicitly connect can work from the same context without owning it or trapping it inside one vendor.
Stabilized memory is not everything you have ever said. It is the context worth carrying forward: preserved with dates and sources, corrected through visible versions, and kept under your authority.
User-level does not mean one universal profile. You can keep separate memory scopes for projects, organizations, clients, and relationships, and grant each connected model only the context it needs. Stable memory is not frozen memory: it can change, but it must change visibly.
How it works
- Connect. Subscribe, get your key, and add DEX to your model — takes about a minute. Setup steps below.
- Work. Do what you already do — research a deal, plan a project, make decisions. When something's worth keeping, say dex it. DEX files it in your own Drive, structured and versioned.
- Recall. Start any session, in any model, and DEX loads your spine — who you are, what you're working on, what you've decided. Your model picks up where you left off.
Prompt guide
Copy any of these into your model once DEX is connected. Then make them your own.

The tools
Your model picks the right one — you never call them directly. Listed here so you know what your model can reach.
get_spine | Fires when you connect. Loads your personal spine — who you are, your projects, your standing preferences — so your model starts every session already knowing you. |
dex_it | The verb. Takes whatever you're working on — a decision, a finding, a new project — and files it in your own Drive: structured, versioned, and indexed in your Master Dex. |
get_context | The recall. Pulls previously dexed material relevant to what you're working on right now — from your Drive, into your conversation. |
What makes it different
Stabilized at the user level. DEX keeps the continuing record outside the model. Models are permissioned readers and writers; you remain the authority over what is preserved, corrected, and carried forward.
Every fact is dated and sourced, not guessed. DEX doesn't reconstruct your history from a fuzzy embedding — it keeps the actual written record, so what comes back is what actually happened, not a plausible-sounding approximation of it.
Stored in your Drive, not DEX's. Nothing you've filed ever lives on DEX's own infrastructure. It's a folder only you can see — DEX just knows how to read and organize it.
Models can change. Your context does not have to. Claude today, ChatGPT tomorrow, whatever's next — your record is not locked to one vendor's memory feature. DEX is the user-level layer underneath, not another model-owned silo.
Connect DEX
- Subscribe. DEX is subscription-based — sign up through our Square page.
- Get your key. Once your payment is confirmed, Danny sends you a six-word key personally — by text or email, the same day. Questions before you subscribe? Reach him at danny@strangeorbit.ai.
- Unlock your install page. Your key opens your own private install page, where you connect DEX to your AI tools — Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, or any MCP-compatible model — and to your own Google Drive.
- Ask your first question. Try: “Load my spine — let's pick up where we left off.”
Your model should already know you.
